We know we need to do more to tackle the plastics crisis. Plastic has been found in the highest mountains, the deepest oceans and now in Britain's most iconic and remote rivers, lakes and reservoirs.
The government has taken some promising steps in the right direction in tackling things like plastic straws and cotton buds.
But focusing on a few cherry-picked products is not enough to have the impact we need. If we really want to end plastic pollution, we need legislation to tackle it in all its many forms.
MPs from across the parties are supporting our Plastic Pollution Bill to phase out plastic pollution from all its sources.
Please ask Environment Secretary Michael Gove to take action and make a new law that ends plastic pollution a reality.
