How to save the planet - live talks The campaign for clean air - live talk Wednesday 30 September: 19:00 - 19:45 The quality of air we breathe has a profound impact on our lives and health – and it affects all of us. Often called the ‘silent killer’, air pollution is responsible for 36,000 premature deaths in the UK every year. Scientists are now also looking at a possible link between poor air quality and a higher number of COVID cases. For a brief period in 2020, we were able see what our planet would look like with cleaner air. But without systemic change and government commitment, this uplift in air quality will remain temporary. Join our experts Jenny Bates and Rosamund Adoo-Kissi-Debrah to learn about air pollution, why it’s a huge health issue, and how we can campaign for a planet with clean air.
