The government is about to make a decision that could determine whether the fracking industry is able to succeed in the UK.
When Cuadrilla tried to frack in Lancashire last year it had to pause operations five times because of earth tremors. Since then the industry has been lobbying the government to weaken the regulations, which would allow them to continue working despite causing larger earthquakes.
The government has a clear choice: cave in to the fracking industry or listen to the public. Fracking companies have deep pockets and friends in high places, but they can be beaten when enough of us take a stand.
Please write to your MP today. Ask them to tell the government not to weaken the strict regulatory regime they have been so proud to promote.
